Waipara Valley is only 45 minutes north of Christchurch and is perfect for day trips, if you want to stay longer there is ample B&B accommodation available.
With three winery restaurants available all tastes are catered for.

If you can't find a sober driver then there are plenty of wine tours visiting the region from Christchurch that you can jump on-board with. They pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation - what more could you want!
